Emmerdale fans have been left wondering if Mack is leaving the show. Especially after John hinted that he will get rid of him.
Mack has found himself on John’s target list – and that’s not somewhere anyone would want to be. The pair have never been each other’s biggest fans, but that has heightened even more recently. Mack found out that John had been lying to Aaron, and was very quick to fill him in, which left John fuming.
And aside from that, there has been quite a few other signs that Mack could be leaving, and his days in Emmerdale are numbered. Let’s have a look at the signs.
1. He has made an enemy of John
John is not someone you want to mess with. And Mackenzie may be about to find that out the hard way.
As Mack pointed out to Aaron that he doesn’t actually know much about John, it’s safe to assume this isn’t going to be forgotten about for him.
John also told Aidan that Mack is a problem that he needs to fix, which hinted that there’s now a target on Mackenzie’s back. And we all know John is quite good at hiding bodies – so perhaps Mack’s time is almost up.
2. The eerie flash-forward could imply Mack is leaving Emmerdale
Slowly, over the last few months, we have been getting the full context of the five flash-forwards we saw on New Year’s.
There are only two left – Cain crying at a grave, and Mack running through the woods. And the second one doesn’t make things look to good for him.
If this is the start of a feud with John, could it be him chasing Mack through the woods? If it is – has Mack worked out the entire truth? Either way, it definitely looks like he is scared and running from someone. And right now, all John looks like the most likely candidate.
3. Fans love ‘Vanity’
When Mack first joined the show, he was partially responsible for the end of Charity and Vanessa’s relationship. One that is still adored by fans all these years later.
While the characters seem to be fine with being friends, and Charity appears happy in her relationship with Mack, fans can’t them go.
So, if Emmerdale writers were listening to the fans, then they may turn their attention back to Charity and Vanessa’s relationship. And in doing so, this makes us question where Mack fits in in the village.
Whether Mack is truly leaving Emmerdale remains to be seen, and there has been no confirmation that Lawrence Robb is going anywhere. But it definitely looks like a strong possibility that we may be saying goodbye to him sometime soon.
