Still, Eric Braeden recently hopped on Instagram to show fans some behind-the-scenes stuff. He posted a video of himself during the week of September 2, at the gym. Donning some boxing gloves, the clip showed the 83-year-old relentlessly (and impressively) hitting a punching bag.
His caption read, “Keeps me young and restless …”

Eric is an icon in the land of soaps, so an intense video showing how he lets off steam and keeps in shape is going to get a ton of views and comments! Of course, fans rushed to the section to let the daytime drama legend know how much they love him and the Y&R.
Still, Braeden had former and current Young and the Restless colleagues who also chimed in on what a bad@ss Eric is.
The IG video was “hearted” by Michael Damian (Danny Romalotti), Amelia Heinle (Victoria Newman), Bryton James (Devon Hamilton-Winters), Lauralee Bell (Christine Blair), as well as Y&R alum, Doug Davidson (Paul Williams).
In addition, Davidson commented on Eric’s IG video saying, “You go, Eric (fire emoji)”.
Bryton also commented on the clip with two muscle-flex emojis, while Lauralee’s comment consisted of a boxing glove emoji, along with a heart emoji, and two hands-up emoji.
Don Diamont (Y&R ex-Brad Carlton, current Bold and the Beautiful’s Bill Spencer) also left a comment on Eric’s boxing post with a boxing glove emoji, a muscle-flex emoji, and a heart emoji.
