The small-town drama is coming back to Netflix.
There are still two more episodes of Virgin River set to premiere in 2023,
but that doesn’t mean we’re not already thinking about what’s going to happen
to Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack (Martin Henderson) and the rest of the crew after the Christmas-themed installments that round out Season 5 on Nov. 30.
Thankfully, we know that Virgin River has already been renewed for a sixth season. And while the first 10 episodes of Season 5 contained “a lot of answers to the questions that you have been waiting for,” producer and writer Erin Cardillo told Tudum on the set of the small-town drama series in 2022, she and the rest of the writers also introduced plenty more complications for our favorite characters in future episodes. Like, for example, a couple “too beautiful and too awesome to be too happy for too long,” producer and writer Richard Keith told Tudum last year.
No, they’re not talking about Jack and Mel — though as we already know, that pairing has faced their fair share of difficulties. Said Keith, “I’ve gotten so many messages on Instagram since I joined the show, ‘Just please let Jack and Mel have a good go of it this year.’ And it’s like, we want to do that, but also then there’s nothing to watch!”
