Yellowstone Star Wraps Final Day As John Dutton’s Love Interest Without Kevin Costner

A long-running actress on Yellowstone has just revealed she’s wrapped

up her final day of filming for the highly anticipated second half of season five.

Yellowstone season five, part two is finally on the horizon after plenty of reported

drama behind the scenes, including the loss of John Dutton star Kevin Costner. The fifth and final instalment is set to return with just six more episodes this November to wrap up the Dutton saga on Paramount.

Filming is still underway in Montana, with co-stars and real-life couple Ryan Bingham and Hassie Harrison recently sharing a sneak peek at the set.

Now, Wendy Moniz, who’s best known for portraying Governor Lynelle Perry since the first season, has confirmed she’s just finished filming her final scene.

The actress took to Instagram on Sunday to reflect on her time on the series coming to an end after nearly a decade.

“Series wrap for me on Yellowstone and been having alllll the feels,” she shared with her followers.

“Sentimental, proud, grateful to name a few. What a beautiful experience I’ve had here; just incredibly fortunate to have worked with so many talented, dedicated, and kind people since 2017.”

Wendy went on to say: “There’s been a lot to reflect on.

“Because this place, with the exceptional people who make it live and breathe, has often felt like a home away from home for me over these last 7 years.”

It’s unknown how Governor Perry’s story will end with John out of the picture for the final episodes, as she has been romantically tied to the ranch owner through much of the series.

However, she still plays a pivotal role in local politics so will undoubtedly be doing a lot of heavy lifting to bring the story to a close.

Her fans have been sending supportive messages below the Instagram post, including a sweet comment from Wendy’s co-star Kelly Reilly, who portrays Beth Dutton.

“Wendy !!! I adore you .. we all do,” she wrote. “You have just been so amazing to work with all these years!!! Congratulations.”

Thankfully, the ending of season five won’t bring the Yellowstone saga to an end for good.

Fans still have a second season of 1923 to look forward to, plus news of another spin-off dropped just before the weekend.

Tentatively titled The Madison, this iteration will pick up in the modern day and follow another family after a devastating tragedy.

Michelle Pfeiffer, Kurt Russell and Patrick J Adams are being eyed to star.

Yellowstone season 5, part 2 premieres Sunday, November 10 on Paramount.
