Bode’s actions in Fire Country season 3’s finale ensured that Sharon and Vince had to enter the Buena Vista building to save him and Walter, despite not having the right equipment. Walter’s confusion heartbreakingly hitting him when everyone was finally saved from the burning facility forced Sharon and Vince back in, prompting Fire Country season 3’s disastrous cliffhanger endangering all three Leones. Fire Country season 3 not clarifying their fates hints at all three of them being presumed dead, but reports of Billy Burke not returning as Vince (via Deadline) strongly suggest Vince will die in Fire Country season 4.
Vince’s Death Can Push Sharon & Mickey Even Closer As Sisters In Sheriff Country
The Leone Tragedy Can Make Mickey & Sharon’s Bond Similar To When They Were Kids
Mickey’s first appearance in Fire Country season 2, episode 6, “Alert the Sheriff,” revealed her and Sharon’s unique family history, including how they were closer than ever as sisters when Mickey’s father was with Sharon’s mother, before losing their bond after the two separated. “Alert the Sheriff” painted a clear picture of Mickey and Sharon’s relationship, including the hurt of becoming strangers overnight and the difficulties of relating to one another after so much time apart, exemplified in their assumptions about one another and seeing the other’s life as picture-perfect.

Morena Baccarin’s upcoming series Sheriff Country looks like a lot of fun, but it raises questions about the size of Edgewater in Fire Country.
Mickey’s second appearance in Fire Country season 3, episode 16, “Dirty Money,” showed how far Mickey and Sharon had gone as sisters since reuniting in season 2, as Mickey’s vulnerable admission to Sharon that she had hoped Wes would choose her, his daughter, over his business revealed. Despite the steps forward, Fire Country season 3 showed how Sharon and Mickey’s lives were very different, and Sharon having a loving husband in Vince and Bode around and free put her in a different position from Mickey, who struggled with her father Wes and her daughter Skye’s addiction.
Fire Country season 2 introducing the sheriff as a father figure to Mickey only to have him end up murdered brought even more hurt to Mickey’s life, but Sharon losing Vince would give the two sisters the common goal of dealing with their sizeable losses.
Sharon Needing To Rely More On Mickey Can Make Her More Present In Sheriff Country
Vince’s Death Will Inevitably Force Sharon To Lean On Her Loved Ones

While Diane Farr is confirmed to appear as Sharon Leone in Sheriff Country season 1, the scope of her role isn’t known. Vince’s likely death gives Sharon a reason to be more present in Sheriff Country as a result of needing her family after such a loss. With Sharon’s life revolving around Vince besides her job, his death has the power to shatter her. Being close to Mickey can remind Sharon that there are others in her life that she can rely on besides Bode, opening them up to the possibility of getting closer to Sharon’s side of their family.
How The Leone Tragedy Can Unite The Fox-Leone Family As A Whole
Vince Dying Shifts The Focus From The Leone Side Of Bode’s Family To Sharon’s

If Fire Country focused on the Leone family drama and Vince’s side of the family through Walter’s illness and their difficult bond, Sheriff Country can finally expand their family by showing Sharon’s side, not only through Mickey and Skye Fox, but also, hypothetically, Sharon’s mother. Bode and Skye’s addiction problems offer another path Sheriff Country and Fire Country can take advantage of to create bridges among Mickey and Sharon’s loved ones, pushing them all closer following the terrible tragedy in Fire Country season 3.
