The cast members hope that Robron will reunite but admit there’s a long road ahead of the former couple

Emmerdale cast members have teased their hopes from a “Robron” reunion after Robert Sugden made his way back into Aaron Dingle’s life during his wedding day.
In true soap style, no wedding can ever go without a hitch interrupting the couple from walking down the aisle and making their vows to each other.
This couldn’t have been more true for Aaron Dingle as he set about marrying John Sugden, unaware of the obstacles John was battling with during the big day.

John was struggling with a series of nightmares as he worried that Nate Robinson’s body would be uncovered from the lake as it was being dredged. Viewers will recall that he accidentally killed Nate, while the rest of the village assume he’s gone no-contact since starting his new job in Shetland.
Not only that, but his ex-fiancé Aidan Moore had woken up from his coma, and while struggling to speak it was clear that John’s presence terrified him.
He did go to the hospital in an attempt to end Aidan’s life for good, but couldn’t go through with it. However, Aidan ended up having a cardiac arrest and slipping back into his coma.

It was unexpected then, when Robert Sugden calmly walked into the venue, turned to his ex-husband and announced: “Miss me?”
Actor Ryan Hawley (Robert Sugden) left the ITV soap in 2019, as his character was arrested and sentenced for Lee Posner’s demise, as a consequence of defending his sister Victoria from a horrific assault by Lee.
He showed up to halt the wedding day after he had been released on appeal, and the former couple even shared a kiss that Chas Dingle caught.

Although Aaron went through with marrying villain John, some Emmerdale stars are convinced that Robron will find their way back together.
Speaking to The Mirror at the British Soap Awards 2025, April Windsor star Amelia Flanagan confirmed she was “hashtag team Robron” as Lisa Riley and Bradley Johnson shared their thoughts on the potential reunion.
Lisa declared: “It’s incredible, it was amazing. We had seven days and we knew the reaction would be massive.
“But to then see the reaction which was enormous has just been so good, and it’s great for the show. It’s the right time, it’s what the audience wanted. We just kept teasing and teasing them and now they have got Robron. We love it.”
Bradley then added: “Robron was so big as well it’s that thing of are they or are they not [getting back together], keeping fans on tenterhooks.”
Reflecting on the drama between half-brothers Robert and John, Lisa said: “That’s the drama, you want that, you gotta keep it all going, mixing the pot.”
When we asked if they were Robron all the way, Lisa said “yes” as Bradley teased: “It’s a long path to that,” with Lisa adding: “As it should be.” Similarly, Karen believed it would be a long road until a potential reunion, reported The Mirror.
She added: “It’s brilliant. They are an iconic soap couple. I think there’s every chance [they’ll get back together] but who knows. I don’t think it’s a straight road is it, it’s not gonna be easy.”
