Fire Country fans want this major character to return for season 4—and they are letting the show know what they think.
As season 4 of the CBS drama is set to premiere on Friday, October 17, 2025 on CBS, folks are ready to see more from the first responders in the fictional Edgewater, California. In anticipation of the new season, though, Fire Country‘s social team decided they’d try to engage with the audience by giving them some small updates on what’s down the pipeline in this installment.
As a result, the show’s official Instagram featured a new post of Bode Leone (Max Thieriot) and his season 3 love interest Audrey James (Leven Rambin). What’s more, the caption asked fans to share some details about if they ever had to work alongside someone they were once in a romantic relationship with.
“Give us your juiciest stories about working with a current flame (or ex) 👇👇👇,” the caption read alongside the image on August 21.

While some fans indulged with regaling tales of working with romantic interests, there were some that had other plans. They decided to take to the comments and beg Fire Country to bring back fan-favorite character Gabriela Perez (played by Stephanie Arcila), who will be written off the show for season 4 and dated Bode in the beginning of the show.
“The best love story on your show was the relationship between Bode and Gabriela. No other couple you put together can even come close to their chemistry,” one person wrote. “#BringBackGabriela,” another noted. “BRING GABRIELA BACK, WE WANT BODIELA BACK NOW,” a different follower exclaimed.
While we don’t know how Fire Country is going to address Stephanie’s exit from the show, folks know that news of her leaving occurred right after the season 3 finale aired back in April. And as Stephanie explained to Deadline at the time, it doesn’t mean she’s done with the show entirely.
“I never say never,” she noted to the outlet. “Life takes us through so many avenues, and Gabriela is such a gift to me in my career, personally and professionally … As for the future, I’ve learned that these writers always surprise me, and I have no expectations, just excitement.”
