She stepped in during the season 7 premiere, and quickly proved
herself to be an excellent medic (even though she was late on her first).
Foster kept her personal life under wraps, rarely getting involved in the show’s main dramas, but she ultimately decided that being a medic wasn’t her vocation. Foster decided to leave the firehouse in season 8 and go to medical school to become a doctor. She hasn’t been heard from since.
