Between his heroic save at the construction site in Fire Country season 2’s finale and his choice to go with Gabriela to the helicopter pilot in season 3’s premiere, his tendency to jump into danger was evident. However, a more troubling stance was highlighted when Bode decided to cut Gilmore’s medical alert necklace to protect Gabriela from potential repercussions. Fire Country season 3 hinted that Bode’s reasons for choosing firefighting might be misguided, but the tide might turn after being paired with Audrey in drills inevitably taught Bode accountability.
