Virgin River season 6 – when is the premiere? How many episodes will there be?

The showrunner of the series, Patrick Sean Smith, admitted in an interview with Deadline that the 6th season will probably not be constructed in the same way as the 5th series, i.e. 10 episodes plus two Christmas episodes. Instead, season 6 of “Virgin River” will consist of 10 episodes, which is as long as the first three seasons.

Patrick Sean Smith added that the writing team is finishing work on the second part of the season and suggested that viewers will see another time jump, although he did not reveal how big it would be. And when will the actors return to the set to start working on season 6 of “Virgin River”? Alexandra Breckenridge, the series’ Mel, said a few words about this:

“Virgin River” currently has no order for season 7, but this is probably just a formality. And when can we expect the premiere of season 6? Typically, the show takes about a year between seasons, but now it will likely take longer due to delays caused by strikes. Taking into account the shooting time and post-production, season 6 of “Virgin River” will be available on Netflix either at the end of 2024 or at the beginning of 2025.

What can we expect from season 6 of “Virgin River”? The Christmas episodes suggested that the series would show the wedding of Mel and Jack (Martin Henderson), and we will certainly also see a continuation of the plot of the heroine’s newly found father.
