Ben Hollingsworth and Zibby Allen have discussed their time working together on the

hit romance drama during a new episode of the latter’s podcast Virgin River duo Zibby

Allen and Ben Hollingsworth have waxed lyrical on their working dynamic after sharing

the screen for several years now. Recognised for playing whirlwind romancers Brie Sheridan and Marines veteran Dan Brady, they appeared on the latest episode of the I Like You Very Much podcast together. “Your level of dedication to the work is really impressive and I love it of course objectively, and then I appreciate it because I get to benefit as your scene partner,” began Allen, who co-hosts the pod with Mel Monroe star Alex Breckenridge.

“We connected I think pretty quickly,” he replied, “which is important I think for Brady and Brie because [in] the storyline it’s what happens – an instant connection and that spark really carried itself through. “We really etched out that arc for them and we really were very specific about where we were at the time,” Hollingsworth continued, before revealing how the pair had to “fight for” their characters’ chemistry. “[There were] a lot of different storylines that were funnelling through in season 3 and some of them [in season] 4, and some of them were a little confusing for us.

But we took the time to kind of fight for it and make it the best we could and I think, you know, obviously I owe a lot of that to you too,” he gushed. Meanwhile, earlier this year, Allen admitted that Brie and Brady’s intense dance scene in the pub from season 3 left her “sweating under the armpits” with nerves. “I was so nervous, I was like ‘I don’t know how to dance you guys’. I felt like a muppet and the fact that it turned out like that, I was as shocked as anyone else that it looked halfway cool,” she recalled on Chatting with B.
