Fans of “Virgin River” can prepare their tissues, as the 6th season
of the series promises strong emotions. This is because, apparently,
a possible marriage is already causing a stir on social media.
According to speculation from fan accounts on Instagram, recent recordings on a steamboat on the Mississippi River indicate the celebration of Mel and Jack’s wedding. Although Jack previously proposed that the wedding take place on his new farm, the boat setting brings a special charm. Referring to the couple’s iconic moments, such as their first date at the marina and the canceled moonlight dinner on Mel’s birthday.Actress Alexandra Breckenridge, who plays Mel, previously commented that she would prefer a different setting for the wedding on the series. For her own royal wedding took place on a farm, and would be very similar. This reinforces the idea that the wedding could indeed take place in the unique setting of the steamboat. Which certainly offers a stunning view and a touch of originality to the celebration.
However, not all fans are convinced that the recordings refer to Mel and Jack’s wedding. Some suggest it could be a renewal of Hope and Doc’s vows. However, others have argued that it’s too late in the season for that, considering filming for episodes 7 and 8 is already underway.
The presence of Joey, Mel’s sister, in the recording photos also fuels theories that it would be more logical for her to travel from Los Angeles to Mel’s wedding, instead of a vow renewal.
In any case, while theories boil among viewers, expectations only increase. “Virgin River” has stood out for interweaving drama and touching moments in its plot, and the possibility of a wedding only adds another layer of excitement for the new season. Whatever the central event of the recordings, fans can expect another exciting chapter in Mel and Jack’s love story.
