Virgin River fans are outraged by Mel’s plot

Season 5 of Virgin River begins with Mel expecting her first child with Jack. To relax during her pregnancy, she decides to take a vacation from her job as a nurse.

However, when a forest fire threatens the residents of Virgin River, Mel agrees to return to work to help the community.

One day, while helping Dr. Cameron care for patients, Mel goes to the bathroom and realizes she is bleeding. Then, in one of the saddest scenes in the series, the protagonist discovers that she has suffered a miscarriage.

Still, Mel continues to help those affected by the fire. It is only in the following episode that she tells Jack what happened, and is comforted by her lover.For many fans, the twist in Virgin River season 5 “crossed the line.” After all, the audience wants to see Mel happy, not suffering like this.
