Virgin River fans left fuming as Mel star warns Brie ‘don’t get back with Brady

Fans of the hit small-town romance Virgin River have been left divided following

a cheeky comment about Brie and Brady heading into season six.

Virgin River star Alexandra Breckenridge has revealed she doesn’t want Brie

Sheridan (played by Zibby Allen) to get back with Dan Brady (Ben Hollingsworth) in season six. In the previous outing of the hit Netflix drama, Brie decided to end things when after confronting Brady about his involvement in the local drug trade, realising she didn’t trust him enough to continue the relationship.

Some viewers were left disappointed when one of their favourite couplings called it quits, while others applauded her decision.

Brie later developed feelings for Mike Valenzuela (Marco Grazzini) while Brady struck up a new romance with Lark (Elise Gatien), so at least the pair could manage to find happiness elsewhere.

However, the topic is clearly still a sore point for some fans awaiting the return of Virgin River before the end of this year.

Speaking to Marco in the latest episode of their podcast I Like You Very Much, Mel Monroe star Alexandra and Zibby discussed what they would tell each other’s characters if they had the chance.

“Somebody had asked the question, if you could give advice to the other person’s character…” Alexandra began.

“Like, if I could give advice to Brie, or if she could give advice to Mel, what would it be?

“And I said, ‘Don’t get back together with Brady!’”

Zibby burst into uproarious laughter at her co-stars warning, but didn’t seem to disagree.

Their co-star Marco wisely quipped: “The heart wants what it wants. What’re you gonna do, right?

“And speaking from personal experience, it’s the wonders of being a human being.”

When the clip was posted to Alexandra’s Instagram page, many fans couldn’t help chiming in with a defense of their favourite Virgin River romance.

“Team Brady and Brie. They should get back together!” one viewer replied.

Another said: “Yeah, yeah, but we still team brady and brie.” While a third commented: “No. I love [Brie] with Brady.”

And a fourth exclaimed: “I’ll have to disagree with Alex on this one: Brie should go back to Brady!!!”

Although, there were still plenty of fans who agreed with Alexandra that going back to Brady could be a disaster for Brie.

“Certainly a lot of chemistry between Brie and Brady but he’s a lot of trouble,” one fan cautioned. “Mike is definitely more stable.”

Fans will discover which side gets their wish when the sixth season of Virgin River is released before the end of the year, as confirmed by Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos.
