Alexandra Breckenridge has opened up about a ‘sweaty palms’

moment with her Virgin River co-star Virgin River actress Alexandra

Breckenridge became emotional as she reflected on a touching moment

with her esteemed colleague Annette O’Toole during her new podcast venture. While fans eagerly await the next instalment of the popular Netflix series, Alexandra, alongside Zibby Allen who plays Brie Sheridan, has been busy hosting their brand-new podcast titled I Like You Very Much.

The podcast features the duo engaging in candid conversations with fellow cast members such as Martin Henderson, Ben Hollingsworth and Lauren Hammersley, among others.

Their inaugural episode featured a poignant discussion with Annette, who has been portraying Hope McCrea, the town’s mayor, since the show’s inception.

In a particularly heartfelt segment, Alexandra, known for her role as Mel Monroe, shared how Annette had once encouraged her to rush to the airport to see her children, even if it meant leaving during Annette’s close-up shots.

An appreciative Alexandra recounted the incident, saying: “You told me to go to the airport when I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I’m going to miss my flight’.”

She continued, expressing her gratitude: “And it was on your close-up coverage of the scene we’d been doing.”

The memory clearly still affects Alexandra, as she confessed: “I’m getting sweaty palms just thinking about it.”

Her voice laden with emotion, she added: “I got so emotional when you were like, ‘Go. Just go.’ Because I missed my kids so much, and you completely understood.”

Reflecting on the support she received, Alexandra admitted: “I got so emotional at the time and I don’t think I ever let it out or said anything, but I was so appreciative.”

Annette, a mother herself, empathised with Alexandra’s urgency to reunite with her children. “I’ve been through that very thing,” she responded. “There’s nothing more important than that. Nothing.”

The legendary actress was visibly delighted during her time on the podcast with her co-stars, as demonstrated by her touching post in response to the episode announcement on their Instagram.

“What an honour to be your first published guest!” she commented, adding to a snippet of their chat.

“Thank you both for the lovely talk we had. It was an absolute pleasure. Love and miss you, A and Z.”
