Emmerdale’s Moria Barton is set to be left fuming in the upcoming episodes
as Samson Dingle drops a shocking revelation. The Dingle clan has been in turmoil
recently following Matty Barton’s incarceration after he was accused of stabbing
Samson. The tension escalated when Josh and Matty’s feud took a violent turn, leading to Samson being accidentally stabbed by Matty. Samson then misled his family and the authorities, claiming that Matty had intentionally stabbed him. This caused a rift between Samson’s father, Sam, and his uncle Cain Dingle, who is also Matty’s stepfather. While Moira and Cain have sided with Matty, Sam and his wife Lydia are supporting Samson, believing his version of events.
A confrontation ensues at the Dingles’ where Moira accuses Sam of allowing Samson to leave early. Despite initially defending his son, Sam eventually agrees to let Samson go, promising that he will return before the trial. But Moira is determined to stop him from leaving. Meanwhile, Matty is in high spirits after discovering that his cellmate Les has accepted him as a trans man and he’s eager to share the news with Amy during her visit. However, when their visit ends, she watches Matty leave and is approached by Robbo, who she mistakes for Les. Sadly, Robbo’s sympathetic act gets the truth about Matty from Amy, who is unaware of the danger she has now put her husband in.
When Matty returns to his cramped cell and Les leaves to see his solicitor, Robbo arrives, sparking fear into Matty when he realises the thug has spoken to his wife. Later in the week, things worsen for Matty while Amy and Moira wonder why they’ve not heard from him. After witnessing Josh threatening Samson and pressuring him to continue lying to the police, Lydia could suspect Samson is hiding something. But after meeting with Moira, will Lydia agree to help her?
