Emmerdale’s Kim Tate (Claire King) embraced her true nature on Christmas
Day as, after discovering Will Taylor’s (Dean Andrews) betrayal,
she watched on as he keeled over and clutched his chest in agony.
Will, as fans know, was hellbent on taking Kim down a peg or two after she terrorised him over his infidelity with his ex. In a bid to see his plan through, he got in touch with Peter, her former financial advisor, hoping he could help take the Home Farm icon down once and for all.
Peter, however, was working with someone else – the elusive Joe Tate (Ned Porteous), who staged a mighty comeback earlier this week, ready to exact revenge on Kim for trying to have him killed six years ago.
But with Kim having suffered an accident on Christmas Eve, Will came to realise just how much he loved her, resolving to put the past in the rear view mirror and start afresh, declaring his undying love for his wife as they renewed their vows on Christmas morning.
Having called off the plan with Peter, Will was enjoying every second of reconnecting with his beloved wife but things took an unexpected turn when Joe arrived at Home Farm on the big day, telling Kim all about how Will had been conspiring to destroy her.
After the initial shock of seeing Joe set in, Kim came to realise that what her former nemesis was saying was in fact true and thus she demanded a moment alone with her hubby.
Will attempted to explain the situation, assuring Kim that he tried to get out of Operation Destroy Kim Tate, but she wasn’t interested in his excuses, making it quite clear that their marriage is over.
In unexpected scenes, Will clutched his chest and collapsed to the floor, taking the Christmas tree with him. As he gasped for breath, Kim watched on, completely nonplused by the whole thing.
Is history set to repeat? Much like she did with Frank Tate, is Kim set to let Will die in the living room at Home Farm?
