Coronation Street has teased a dramatic story for nine characters in a new promo video.

The upcoming plot will see things go horribly wrong at a midsummer party thrown by Aadi Alahan.

When Bernie Winter fears Aadi is becoming an old man before his time, she encourages him to let loose with his friends. With his dad still away in India, Aadi takes the opportunity to throw a house party and shake off his stuffy image.

Twins Aadi and Asha, Nina Lucas, Dylan Wilson, Amy Barlow, Lauren Bolton, Summer Spellman and Betsy Swain all gather at Number 7 for a night to remember. However, the promo video reveals trouble ahead for the Weatherfield youngsters when Brody Michaelis arrives at the bash.

Looking to make some quick cash, Brody tries to sell a bottle of LSD to the group but is kicked out of the party by a furious Aadi. Once he’s gone, Summer convinces Aadi and Nina to try the drug, as she had some in America.

Aadi divides the LSD into three cups but while Summer and Nina drink theirs, Aadi leaves to deal with an incident. He returns to find someone has accidentally taken his drink.

Meanwhile, Lauren suddenly feels unwell and exits the party. But she soon finds herself in a nightmare situation that she struggles to escape from.

Still high on LSD, Nina and Summer also leave the house and let themselves into Roy’s Rolls, which has been locked up for the night.

As they wander around in the dark, they hear sirens on the street. What has happened back at Number 7?

The group of friends are left to deal with the disturbing events of the evening as the aftermath rocks the cobbles. But in the cold light of day, will the truth come out?
