There’s Major News About Tonight’s ‘Chicago Fire’ Episodes

One Chicago Wednesdays are our favorite night of the week. No offense to

NCIS Tuesdays or Law and Order: SVU Thursdays, but there’s just something

to be said for the fact that we get three shows we love back-to-back-to-back.

If you’re in the same boat as us, then you might be a little heartbroken by this next piece of news. Yes, Chicago Med will air tonight as usual, but Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. will not be on at all. That’s right, we have to wait until February 26 to see Burgess or Severide back on TV. To make matters worse, Chicago Med is a re-run. You’ll be watching the season 5 episode, “Who Knows What Tomorrow Brings,” all over again.

Why, do you ask, would NBC ruin a perfect lineup like this? They actually have a pretty good excuse. The network is airing the Democratic debate tonight at 9 p.m. ET, which will run in Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D.’s usual time slots.

NBC is definitely making it up to us next week, though. They’ve planned another big crossover between Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D., and we know those get crazy fast.
“Off the Grid” will take up the first hour, and follows Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Roman (Brian Geraghty) who team up to investigate a string of teen opioid overdoses. Later, in “Burden of Truth” the squads work together after an entire apartment complex is forced into quarantine.
