EastEnders has confirmed which two characters are facing death as a terrifying car crash takes place.

This week, Zack moved forward with his plan to take his secret son Barney away from Walford and from the dangerous Mitchells.

He told Harry the truth, then Harry swiftly reported back to his family – revealing to Teddy that he isn’t Barney’s dad, Zack is.

Nicola tried to deny this huge bombshell in today’s episode, but when faced with pressure, she was forced to confess that she had a fling with Zack 16 years ago.

As Nicola explained the truth, Teddy’s world crumbled around him, and he threatened to tell Barney about his real dad. Once Teddy left, Harry told his mum about Zack’s plan to run away with Barney – and said his brother was safer away from her.

Teddy broke down in tears in front of Harry, who saw how much his dad was hurting and decided to take matters into his own hands, asking to meet Zack at The Arches.

Zack naively assumed that Harry was going to help him with his Barney plan, but when he arrived at the garage, Harry attacked him and put him in the boot of his car.

Back at home, Teddy asked Nicola to leave the family for good. But when he got a voice note from Harry telling him Zack had been “taken care of”, he rushed off to stop his son from doing something stupid.

He got a lift from Billy, Honey and Nigel – with Vicki left in Walford concerned – and they managed to catch up with Harry, who had parked near the lake.

The Mitchells discovered Zack unconscious in the boot and put him in the passenger seat of the car, with Teddy pledging to take him for a drive and have a chat.

But on the road, terrified Zack woke up and urged Teddy to stop the car. As the two men fought over the steering wheel, the car suddenly swerved and plunged into the lake.

Will either Teddy or Zack lose their lives?
