Coronation Street introduced a new character on Monday night as Theo Silverton’s wife Danielle made her debut.
Soap fans will recall that scaffolder Theo, played by James Cartwright, joined the ITV soap last month and soon had an instant attraction with Todd Grimshaw.
However, after insisting he isn’t gay and asking Todd to leave him alone, the latter was left confused when he found out the guy he had been chatting to on a dating app was none other than Theo.
In scenes last week, Theo admitted to Todd he finds him attractive to which the two kissed passionately before heading upstairs.

Having spent the afternoon in bed, Todd and Theo were loved up. However, Theo, who admitted his life is complicated, later left Todd heartbroken as he insisted that the day was a one off.
On Monday’s episode, Todd was left stunned as Theo arrived at Shuttleworths to arrange a funeral with his wife Danielle for his mother-in-law.
Theo attempted to explain his family situation, revealing he had been married for 19 years but had questioned his sexuality since a teenager.
The scaffolder admitted he had ‘never had the guts’ and ‘never done this before’, as he begged Todd not to tell his wife anything.
Soap watchers instantly recognised Danielle as the character is played by actress Natalie Anderson. Natalie, 43, is best known for playing Alicia Metcalfe on Emmerdale from 2010 to 2015.
