Emmerdale killer John Sugden made a grim revelation on Thursday (April 24) as he appeared to confirm plans to murder Mackenzie Boyd.
Earlier this week, Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) tracked down one of John’s (Oliver Farnworth) old army pals who shared the truth about his past.
Connor confirmed to Vic that John was engaged to Aidan Moore, and he isn’t dead like John had originally claimed.
When confronted, John told Vic that he felt it was easier to tell himself that Aidan is dead, rather than accept the reality – his brain has been starved of oxygen and is now in a vegetative state.
Vic agreed to keep John’s past a secret but Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) also run into Connor and found out the truth.
Mack instantly told Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) how his future husband John is a liar.
The revelation left Aaron angry and confused, as he wondered whether he even wanted to be with John anymore.
The couple attempted to talk, but John was taken aback when Aaron said he doesn’t even know the person he wants to marry.
Frustrated, John left and visited Aidan in hospital. He spoke about how much easier his life would be if Aidan was dead, but just as it looked as though he was going to do something, John turned his attention to Mackenzie.
John told an unconscious Aidan that he needs to deal with Mack first, who apparently needs putting out of ‘his misery’.
Despite Mack now being a target, Emmerdale fans are convinced Aidan is going to wake up form his coma and expose John’s violent side.
Taking to X, one person wrote: “#Emmerdale Crazy John going after Mack, reckon Aiden is listening to every word & will open his eyes just as John leaves the room!”.
A second predicted: “So Aidan is going to wake up when these 2 are getting married #Emmerdale”.
A third pleaded: “I need Aiden to wake up NOW!!! #Emmerdale.”
“If Aidan is in Hotton General if he is he will definitely wake up #emmerdale”, stated one viewer.
“Calling it now – Aidan Moore will wake up and walk in at John and Aaron’s wedding day and tell everyone what John really did unlikely but would be a good twist #Emmerdale”, added another.
