spot huge ‘blunder’ as Belle finally escapes abusive husband Tom King

Emmerdale viewers seemed to have spotted another blunder during the ITV soap after

Belle King was taken away by the mental health crisis team. Over the last few months,

Belle has been suffering at the hands of her husband Tom who has been showing signs

of abusive and coercive behaviour. On Friday night’s show (May 24), Tom convinced Belle that she hadn’t been taking her medication which helps her with her mental health, while stating that Belle was “confused”. Concerned by her recent erratic behaviour towards Tom, Belle called her crisis team for help on Friday (May 24). As Tom tried his best to persuade Belle by telling her she didn’t require any additional help, to Tom’s displeasure, the crisis team as well as Belle’s family members Cain, Lydia and Sam showed up at their door. But although fans were pleased to see Belle receiving the help and later being taken away, many were also stunned that the crisis team were able to attend to Belle so soon. As many pointed it out that often takes a bit longer after a call is made.

Belle is packed off to a crisis centre within 6 minutes.” Another said: “Oh ffs a crisis assessment centre just like that.” A third added: “Ain’t no f*****g way crisis team turned up that quick, keep it real and give Belle a 2 minute phone call.” A fourth viewer shared: “When you need a reality check that Emmerdale is a soap! The Mental Health Crisis Team turning up within minutes.

Here in Derbyshire you’re lucky if they answer the phone!” Later on in the programme, Belle was whisked away for a few nights with the crisis team. But Tom still tried to tell Belle that it could be a bad idea, while informing Cain, Lydia and Sam that he is Belle’s husband. But fans were pleased that Belle was leaving as they predicted that it could be the downfall for Tom. Heading to X again, one fan said: “Belle will be physically examined when she gets to that help centre. The bruise on her front will be spotted, and then it will be apparent that she is not self harming!” Another mentioned: “Tom’s sh*****g himself…. he cant control what she does or says now… Hopefully they see she’s been physically abused by him.”
