Wives viewers have long thought of Robyn Brown as Kody’s favorite among his four wives. According to fans, the family patriarch spoils wife number four while ignoring his other wives. In fact, many fans of the show believe the favoritism was partly why Christine Brown ended her relationship with Kody. She made the surprising announcement just weeks before Season 19 premiered on TLC. Fans are likely watching the end of the marriage between Christine and Kody play out on the reality show. However, even if Robyn is Kody’s favorite wife, that doesn’t keep her safe from his EXPLOSIVE temper. His fiery personality is on full display in the exclusive preview People magazine shared from the episode airing Sunday, September 15. What happens?
Kody Brown EXPLODES, leaving Robyn in tears Social distancing is a hot topic among the plural family on Season 19. The episodes were filmed in late 2024, amid Kody’s fears about the COVID-19 pandemic. In the next episode, the plural husband and his four wives gather to discuss the possibility of spending the 2024 Christmas holiday together. However, the wives and their children would need to follow strict rules to stay safe from the virus. Kody provides copies of his rules, which Janelle dubs the “Ten Commandments of Kody.” At one point in the discussion, Christine asks Robyn for clarification about the rules. If she follows the rules, Christine wants to know, can the family get together for the holidays? As Christine finishes her question, Robyn points to Kody, indicating for Christine to ask their husband. However, Kody appears to miss that Robyn is deferring to him and EXPLODES on her.
“Are you the head of the family?” he snaps at his fourth wife. The preview clip jumps to a one-on-one interview with Kody. He angrily vents about his wives looking to Robyn for approval. “I don’t have a head wife in this family,” he says. In a previous episode, he told Janelle something similar. During Robyn’s confessional, she’s in tears over the way her sister wives and Kody treat her. She said it’s “ridiculous” that anyone thinks she wrote the rules. Robyn plays the blame game with kids over COVID restrictions Kody’s wives aren’t the only ones who have a problem following his strict rules.
Us Weekly shared a different preview clip in which Robyn throws her husband under the bus. According to his fourth wife, some of his children have asked her to loosen the rules a bit. However, she confesses to the camera that she put the blame on Kody Brown for the strict rules. “I went, ‘Uh, this is not me. I didn’t make up these rules,’ and I very specifically pointed out that their dad, Kody, is not somebody to be run by one of his wives,” Robyn Brown, Sister Wives.
