EastEnders will tease more details about the mystery surrounding the
new Mitchells next week, as Harry embarks on a secret scheme.
Ever since Teddy and his sons, Harry and Barney, showed up in Walford
earlier this year, it has been clear that the trio are hiding something about their past, with Teddy hiding behind extravagant gestures in an effort to keep his secrets.
As the family settle into life in their new home after buying Gray Atkins’s house, next week sees Teddy team up with Sharon Watts to try to persuade Phil Mitchell to give Harry a trial work shift at The Arches.
Although Harry isn’t impressed by the idea at first, he quickly changes his mind when Jack Branning makes a comment about his apparent work ethic.
Jack later faces some alarming consequences when Teddy pays him a visit at home and threatens him over his rude comment about Harry.
Harry gets off to a bad start when he doesn’t turn up for his shift at The Arches, upsetting Teddy. But when Harry stops a thief from taking Kathy Beale’s handbag, he manages to redeem himself with Phil.
However, once he’s on his own again, Harry makes a suspicious phone call and it is clear that he’s using his new job to plan something dodgy.
When Harry later meets a contact at McKlunky’s, Jack overhears their conversation and quickly orders a warrant to search the garage, still suspicious of Harry. With Phil now convinced that Harry could be trouble, he goes back on his offer of a trial.
Following the drama, Teddy reminds his son just how much is at stake if the police start to investigate the family, warning him to stay on the straight and narrow.
As the locals gossip about Harry after the events at the garage, Teddy convinces Phil to let Harry finish the work week at The Arches after all. He then comes up with another plan to put Harry in the clear, as he announces that he’s going to hold a charity event for jailed Sonia Fowler at the garage.
While Phil is shocked by the news, Teddy claims that the fundraiser was all Harry’s idea, leading Phil to agree to give him his job back.

But not everybody is convinced, as Jack later continues to talk about his suspicions on Harry and Teddy. The pair are left worried – could Jack be the person to expose the secrets they’re desperately trying to hide?
