EastEnders has teased the arrival of new character Ayesha in Walford in the show’s latest
episode. This week, Nish was left in danger by Priya, who handcuffed him to a pipe in the Minute
Mart and demanded he film a video stating that they never slept together. He refused, so Priya
left him trapped in the shop overnight and put his medication out of reach. But during his entrapment, Nish overheard Vinny and Suki talking about their secret plan, discovering they had double-crossed him. In today’s episode, which will air on BBC Two tonight, Nish woke up still handcuffed, feeling weak, as he hadn’t taken his medication. Priya returned to the Minute Mart and begged Nish to come clean again, while Vinny, Suki and Ravi were concerned that he had been missing since last night. As Priya urged Nish to confess, he warned he would report her for false imprisonment – before Ravi and Vinny arrived.
They tended to their dad, and Vinny and Suki were shocked to find out he had been in the shop all night. Suki told Eve that Nish had overheard him, and she advised that she and Vinny throw in the towel and stop scheming, but Suki insisted she could handle what was coming. Nish returned home after visiting the hospital and emphasized the importance of loyalty around Vinny, aware of his betrayal. When Suki arrived, he said that he would sign the call centre over to Ravi but told Vinny that he had bigger and bolder plans for him.
Suki and Nish had a chat, neither acknowledging what had happened the previous night, and when Suki said that she had Eve to look after her, Nish thought of a new idea. Priya tried again to make amends with Avani, but her actions towards Nish wrecked their relationship even further. Avani received a text from Nish and left to meet him; he asked her to help him find an old acquaintance called Ayesha. He described her as an old friend of Suki’s who he wanted to reconnect with, as he looked at Suki and Eve walking happily through the Square. With Ayesha’s first scenes set to air next week, what does Nish have planned?
