EastEnders star Navin Chowdhry is being tipped for an exit as Nish Panesar.
Chowdhry has played the Walford villain since 2022, though will reportedly
be departing the BBC soap in upcoming scenes, according to The Sun.
The publication reports that details of his exit storyline are being kept under wraps for now, though an insider has claimed it will be “very impactful and dramatic”.
Digital Spy has reached out to EastEnders, who didn’t comment on the reports.
It’s certainly possible that Nish will be killed off given he returned to Albert Square in May with the shocking news that he is dying. However, nothing has been confirmed yet.
Sharing his reaction to Nish’s illness while speaking to Digital Spy last month, Chowdhry said: “When I first heard that was where the story was going, I was really excited.
“I thought it was just another way to convey his villainy. He has different tactics that he needs to employ now to try and achieve what he wants.”
The actor continued: “He has spent most of his time since he’s been back causing hell for everyone else, and suddenly he’s been dealt the harshest card.
“So for him to cope with that and then react in the way that he needs to try and still be on top and still win is just a really interesting dynamic that I don’t think anyone saw coming.”
Vinny and Suki have been working together to reclaim the empire ever since Nish announced his illness, though Nish eventually discovered their scheme.
Although he’s been plotting his revenge, Nish will surprisingly put his plans on hold in scenes airing next week and instead make a big gesture towards Vinny. But is he being genuine?
