EastEnders actor Lacey Turner has announced an exciting new project where she
celebrates the famous faces that started out in soaps. Turner, who fans will recognise
as Albert Square’s iconic Stacey Slater, broke into the industry two decades ago
with her EastEnders debut in 2004. She’s now set to detail her journey into the world of soaps in her new BBC podcast We Started Here. As well as telling her own personal story, Turner will be chatting to a variety of stars as they each reveal how they launched their careers in soaps. “EastEnders holds a very special place in my heart. It was my very first acting job, and although I have been fortunate enough to explore other roles, for me nothing compares to working on a soap,” she explained. “With this podcast, I get the opportunity to talk to some incredibly talented people in the industry that also started their career on a soap, including writers, actors and many more, and I get to explore how soaps launched their careers and where they are now, which is very exciting.”
