It’s been over two years since evil Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) was finally
brought to justice for his crimes, but the twisted serial killer is set to deliver another
blow from prison in EastEnders next week. The murderer – who killed wife
Chantelle Atkins (Jessica Plummer) before bumping off fellow Walford residents Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami) and Tina Carter (Louisa Bradshaw-White) – leaves estranged wife Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) shaken in forthcoming scenes, as she receives an update about him. Chelsea has already been having a bad time of late, having been demoted from her role as bar manager at Peggy’s, after Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) caught her drinking on the job. With recently promoted Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine) her new boss, things go from bad to worse when a ‘For Sale’ sign goes up outside No. 1. Chelsea is then stunned to discover Gray intends on selling up, and she faces being chucked out of her home.
Gray owned No. 1 with late wife Chantelle but when he went to prison, Chelsea decided to stay in the house with their son Jordan, moving in some housemates to help with the mortgage payments. At present, she shares the place with Felix Baker (Matthew Morrison) and Chantelle’s sister Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris), who is still reeling from their brother Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) murder. Will the trio be able to save their home? While Gray will not be seen on screen in these new scenes, actor Toby has been busy filming new film Murder Between Friends in Prague. He will share the screen with acting royalty Dame Joan Collins, who he shared a picture with on social media earlier this year, alongside wife Amy Walsh – aka Emmerdale’s Tracy Robinson – and their daughter Bonnie-Mae.
