EastEnders fans have been left in awe over a ‘beautiful’ Pride scene, which saw Suki Panesar and Eve
Unwin (Balvinder Sopal and Heather Peace) reflect on Suki’s first Pride event. Suki and Eve headed to Soho over the weekend to enjoy the Pride celebrations, and Eve expressed her pride at Suki for attending.
For a long time, Suki had struggled to accept her sexuality, and dealt with internalised homophobia. This sometimes came between her relationship with Eve, though eventually she managed to accept herself and pursue what she truly wanted.

Eve painted a vivid picture of how they had spent their weekend for viewers, revealing how Suki had even met some of her friends.
‘Your crutches all covered in glitter and you were still trying to dance with me, weren’t you? I’ve never been more proud of anyone in my life,’ Eve said, before Suki pointed out that, ‘Pride isn’t just for the weekend.
Fans were quick to take to social media to express their joy over the scene, and how it showed how far Suki has come in her journey of acceptance.
Even the arrival of ex-husband Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) like a dark cloud couldn’t dampen their spirits, as the pair publicly showed each other affection – something they had been too afraid to do last year.
