EastEnders has explained the new deal between Reiss Colwell and Teddy
Mitchell in the show’s latest episode.Reiss has been in debt to Phil and Sharon
for the last few weeks, after using their money to pay for Debbie’s care fees,
and convinced Sharon about an investment scheme that would pay them back double. But Phil wasn’t convinced, realising that Reiss was conning him, and threatened him with a strict deadline for when he wanted his money back. Related: Best streaming services In today’s episode, Sharon told Teddy about that Phil’s big deadline for Reiss’s money had arrived, and in the café, he saw Phil telling Reiss that he wanted the cash by midday. Reiss asked Sonia to go on a day trip together, but she told him that she was working, before Kathy found out that Sonia had a ring that belonged to Debbie. As Reiss become more anxious, Phil banged on the door demanding his money, and he was forced to admit to Sonia that he was meant to pay Phil back by today.

Sharon was angry about the fake investment, but Sonia managed to give them more time, explaining that she’ll get the money when Debbie’s life insurance comes through. Meanwhile, Teddy spoke to Phil, who was stressed about Ben, and Teddy convinced his cousin to let him handle Reiss and focus on his son. As Kathy promised Sonia she would organise an engagement party for her, Sharon told her that it wasn’t too late to leave Reiss, but Sonia remained firm and said she loves him. Back at the house, Reiss was studying critical illness benefits online, when Teddy called round to tell him that Phil wouldn’t be coming back, as he is going to take on the debt.
