David Wicks will confront Reiss Colwell over the death of the latter’s wife Debbie in EastEnders.

The legendary character has arrived back in Albert Square after a decade away to

help his daughter Bianca Jackson, following her recent

concerning behaviour. Bianca is determined to prove that half-sister Sonia Fowler is innocent of killing Reiss’s late wife Debbie, though she’s alienated many who were sympathetic to her cause.

In scenes airing next week, David is worried about Bianca after a frank discussion about her mental health. After hearing from Kat Slater about how Bianca has acted out, David realises something must be done to help his daughter.

Cindy Beale is soon alarmed to see former boyfriend David back in Albert Square after all these years, leaving her desperate to keep out of sight.

Meanwhile, Bianca pleads with David about her theory that Reiss must have killed Debbie. David agrees to check it all out and goes to confront Reiss.

Later in the week, David has a breakthrough with Bianca when she agrees to see a doctor about her mental health struggles. David promises he’ll be by his daughter’s side no matter what happens.

Unfortunately, David falls back on old habits when other aspects of his life become overwhelming. Even though he’s promised to support Bianca, David secretly makes plans to leave Walford again.

David has made similarly disappointing moves in the past, having left Walford a decade ago when he couldn’t handle his partner Carol Jackson’s cancer diagnosis.
