Nowadays when we think about Louise Mitchell in EastEnders, all we can visualise is Tilly
Keeper who has made the role her own with major storylines. But cast your minds back to around
2010 when Brittany Papple played the role when she was aged 12. Some of Louise’s most
iconic scenes were under Brittany’s tenure – including her abuse at the hands of damaged Ben Mitchell and THAT Lady Gaga dance routine. It feels like a lifetime ago and for Brittany, who has since set up a website selling independent health foods and supplements and now generally slays every single day as a business owner, it is but she will never forget it. She previously told Metro.co.uk: ‘I will always be thankful for being given the opportunity to be a part of EastEnders as an actress, especially working alongside Dame Barbara Windsor & Steve McFadden. It’s an experience that I will never forget.
Now, we know why you’re all here, admit it. What the heck does she look like now. According to the laws of biology, when a human being ages, their physical appearance does so too. This is news, before you say it isn’t in the comments, okay? Deal with it. In a twist that would be right at home in EastEnders, Brittany no longer looks anything like her incarnation of Louise. Observe: One utterly stunned individual previously commented: ‘Is that you Louise?’. It certainly is! Nowadays, Brittany, who is very active on social media, is in a relationship with a man called Sam and has an adorable dog called Barney.
In her mid-20s, Brittany is most certainly living her best life following her EastEnders departure. Fans last saw Louise in 2020 (played by Tilly Keeper) when she left the Square with her mother Lisa during a tumultuous time in her life as she struggled with losing her best friend Mel Owen (Tamzin Outhwaite). Louise left the Square shortly after giving birth to Peggy, the daughter of Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters), who accompanied the pair to Portugal.
Louise’s motivation for leaving followed the explosive revelation that Keanu had been sleeping with her stepmother Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), with Louise believing she had had Keanu killed after arranging his death. However, Keanu was helped by Martin Fowler (James Bye) to fake his death, eventually returning to the soap to shack up with Sharon to raise their own child, Albie.
