Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) finds support in an unlikely place when
she finally tackles her mental health problems in EastEnders next week.
Since returning to Walford last month, Bianca’s friends and family
have been concerned for her wellbeing as she has tried to prove that Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) was responsible for his wife Debbie’s death, and not her sister Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy), who is currently locked up for the crime. Last week saw the return of her father David Wicks (Michael French), who has attempted to be there for his daughter, assuring her he’d support her in her hour of need. But when he makes plans to leave Walford once again upon coming face-to-face with ex-lover Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) 27 years after their affair, next week sees Bianca seemingly face the next chapter alone. However, Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) steps up to support Bianca when he spots her on the way to the GP.
While she is initially reluctant to accept his help, Freddie ends up accompanying her to her appointment – but what will the doctors say? Actress Patsy Palmer, who plays Bianca, recently opened up about her character’s mental wellbeing, explaining there might be more to her condition than doctors first believed. Patsy explained: ‘She has been told before that she’s suffering from depression, but she knows that this isn’t depression, even though you could get diverted into thinking it was. ‘It’s very difficult when your behaviour is a bit off to figure out what it is.’
