Emmerdale star Bradley Johnson showcased his new tattoo in memory of his late grandad.

Bradley, who has played Vinny Dingle on the ITV soap since 2019,

took to Instagram to share the new ink with his followers.

The artwork is a large bird within a triangle. ‘Absolutely love my new leg tattoo!’ he penned.  ‘Been thinking about getting this for years in memory of my grandad. So glad I finally did!

‘Thanks to @tim_needham_tattoo.’

This comes after the soap star announced he is set to become a dad for the first time, after announcing that fiancée Sammie Johnstone is pregnant.

In July this year, Bradley captioned the wholesome Instagram post ‘Mum and Dad,’ with a love heart emoji, he also shared pictures of a delicious looking cake, announcing that the baby is due in December 2024.

The couple uploaded adorable polaroids of themselves holding the baby scan photos, and a personalised baby grow, as well as a sweet video showing off their scan and other pictures.

His Emmerdale co-stars were quick to congratulate him in the comments of the post, with Victoria Sugden actress Isabel Hodgins saying that she is, ‘so happy for you both’.

Lisa Riley, who plays on-screen mum Mandy Dingle, couldn’t contain her excitement as she wrote: ‘LOVE YOU BOTH SO SO SO SO MUCH. At long long last I can tell everyone-you are both going to be the absolute BEST!!! YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! So excited!!!! I’ve said congratulations to you both over a hundred times.’

Amelia Spencer actress Daisy Campbell penned, ‘Congratulations!!! So happy for u and ur little fam,’ while Dean Andrews, who plays Will Taylor, wrote: ‘Mate, I could not be happier for you both. Massive congrats.’
