Emmerdale Lewis Barton is set for a love interest according to fans and they are a soap legend

Emmerdale fans have ‘rumbled’ Lewis Barton’s love interest and it’s a familiar face in the village.

The newcomer, played by Netflix star Bradley Riches, made his debut on the soap earlier his year, as the long-lost brother of Dales favourite Ross Barton (Mike Parr).

Lewis and Ross both have the same mum, the late Emma Barton (Gillian Kearney). As fans will recall, Emma was responsible for a number of crimes during her time in the village.

However, Emma ended up getting killed off in 2017 when her sister Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) pushed her from a viaduct in dramatic scenes.

Since his arrival, Lewis has settled in the village, getting to know his estranged family. It was also revealed that Lewis has his own weed business, and after getting kicked out, he turned to Ross to help find somewhere to keep his plants.

Ross ended up letting Lewis use an abandoned barn and told Lewis he planned to sell some of the plants to pay off a huge debt Moira owed.

He could be set for a romance

However, this week new villain Ray (Joe Absolom) made his debut, and with the help of Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley), he stole Lewis’ crop – leaving him devastated.

And now, with more drama to come, fans are convinced that a romance is on the cards for Lewis and a fellow villager..

On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, viewers claimed they clocked a ‘moment’ between Lewis and Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson), who has been struggling with his sexuality recently.

Fans have predicted a Vinny and Lewis romance

And fans reckon it’s only a matter of time until Vinny and Lewis start a romance. One person penned: “Vinny and Lewis?!?!?!” Someone else agreed: “They definitely had a ‘moment’ they will actually be a good couple.”

A third person said: “Could see that working in my opinion.” Another viewer chimed in: “As soon as they crossed paths I had a light bulb moment.”

Vinny ended up trying to kiss his pal Kammy Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah) last month – before immediately trying to say it was a joke. However, it has been confirmed that Vinny will be struggling with his sexuality in a new storyline.
