Emmerdale star Amy Walsh has addressed fears she could be exiting during the soap’s upcoming limo crash.
The big disaster storyline begins this week, as two limos carrying many of the soap’s characters are involved in separate crashes – one ending up in a frozen lake that puts lives in danger.
Among them is Amy’s character Tracy, who recalled being nervous when she learned that she was involved in the storyline as it puts her in danger of leaving the show.
“It was so exciting,” she said. “I haven’t been a part of many big, big stunts since I’ve been at Emmerdale. And you know, that’s in 10 years. So you wait for these to come around, and you hope you’re involved.”
However, the star admitted that “you kind of half hope you’re not” called up for a big stunt “because you don’t want to be leaving”.
“But then you half hope that you are, and you get to be a part of it,” she added. “It feels so special. Everyone feels excited to be there, and different to a normal day of filming.
“It was a really exciting time. I loved every second of it, even the night shoots. I get excited to be on a night shoot. It just makes me feel like I’m a part of something big. To be in something that feels like a film is quite epic, really.”
Teasing the scenes further, Amy said: “I can’t wait for the audience to see this. I think it’s bigger than a lot of things I’ve seen Emmerdale do. It seems massive to me. They got all the exciting gadgets out, and the way they shot it was so impressive.
“It’s going to look beautiful because of where the soap is set anyway and then they’ve done a massive production on what it looks like and there are stunts left, right and centre. There is so much jeopardy.”
