With lives left hanging in the balance, EastEnders goes LIVE for an unmissable offering of the BBC One soap on Thursday (February 20) to mark 40 years on the Square.
The much-loved serial, as viewers know, has pulled out all the stops to make its 40th anniversary unmissable TV – and it’s certainly succeeded on that front!
With heart-racing reveals, a return four decades in the making – in the form of Angie Watts as Anita Dobson reprised her role – and a cataclysmic explosion at the Queen Vic, it really has been non-stop action thus far.
During the latest visit to Walford, Martin Fowler (James Bye) was left screaming at the top of his lungs in agony after a beam collapsed upon him in the ruins of the barrel store, leaving audiences fearing the worst.
Answers on his fate, plus the outcome of the viewer-voted decision Denise Fox (Diane Parish) makes between Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) and Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), lie ahead in the final outing of the week as EastEnders goes LIVE.
There’s nothing soap fans love more than a live episode and with twists and turns and no doubt tragedy on the cards, I’ll keep you updated with everything as and when it happens on screen.
We’ve not finished crying yet but we just wanted to thank you for joining us tonight (and throughout the week) for our live coverage of EastEnders’ 40th anniversary – what a week it’s been!
Stay tuned to Metro for all the spoilers of what’s to come.
