There are fears Anthony could still be alive in next week’s Emmerdale spoilers after Steph attempts to dig his body up. Ruby and Caleb notice the soil around his grave is undisturbed, leading to speculation over whether John lied about burying him.

Steph is spiraling over Anthony in Emmerdale spoilers
Steph‘s whole world has been turned upside down after discovering the truth about evil Anthony. Not only is she dealing with the discovery that he was her biological dad, she know also knows that Ruby murdered him.
Tortured by the knowledge of these crimes, Steph is struggling to hold it together. This hasn’t gone unnoticed by wily Jai, who reckons the Miligans know more about Anthony’s ‘disappearance’ than they’re letting on. Jai is now on a mission to get to the truth, and has worked out a way he can rattle Steph’s cage.
He sends her a bouquet of flowers from her grandfather, which of course, completely freaks Steph out and leads her to believe Anthony is still alive.

Ruby tells Jai that Anthony abused her
As Steph fears Anthony isn’t dead after all, Jai ends up admitting he was the one who sent the blooms.
Scared Ruby can’t take any more chances like this and decides to let Jai in on part of the truth. She discloses the fact her father subjected her to years sickening sexual abuse, which resulted in Steph’s birth. Ruby’s confession is enough to make Jai feel awful for interfering. He immediately backs off and remains none the wiser about Anthony’s demise.
Standing nearby, Joe observes Ruby and Jai’s interaction with great interest. Getting dirt on the Miligans would be a very useful bargaining tool for Joe incase Caleb found out about his stolen kidney. So will he investigate further?

John is under suspicion over Anthony in Emmerdale spoilers
The day takes a terrifying turn when Ruby and Caleb find Steph in the middle of the woods. She’s got a large stick in her hand and is using it to try and dig up Anthony’s grave. Wouldn’t a spade have been quicker?
Caleb stops his daughter, but while doing this he and Ruby notice that the soil around Anthony’s resting place seems undisturbed. This shouldn’t be the case given John dug the grave only weeks earlier.
The couple’s attention quickly turns to John, as they question whether he’s been telling the truth about Anthony. Viewers will recall how the medic insisted on disposing of Anthony’s body, then kept schtum about the location of his final resting place for weeks.
So did John really bury Anthony in the woods? Or is it somewhere else and he’s just not saying? Or, maybe just maybe, Anthony wasn’t dead after all and John has helped him pull off this incredible con?
