Rose and Ruby’s secret connection is ‘confirmed’ in Emmerdale

While Emmerdale fans have enjoyed watching Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco) work

with Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) to bring down Home Farm, they’ve also had one niggling

thought – how do they actually know each other? Earlier this year, it was confirmed Ruby

and Rose were working together in a revenge plan against Kim Tate (Claire King). While Ruby took control, Rose had to enter Home Farm, break Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) and Kim’s marriage up and reconnect with her daughter Dawn (Olivia Bromley). In the most recent development, Rose attempted to put Will in hospital by spiking his drink. Her plan failed, however, due to Dawn accidentally sipping from the drugged glass instead. After time in hospital, Dawn returned home and said she knows one member of her family was responsible. She then turned her attention to Kim, and Rose relished in seeing her so isolated.

Kim is confronted by Rose at Home Farm in Emmerdale In the aftermath, Kim took herself off to the B&B to give Dawn and the family some space. While in the village, Kim spotted Rose talking to a drug dealer outside. For weeks she waited for proof Rose was up to something – and she finally had it. While we’ve learnt a lot about Rose and her life with Will and baby Dawn, we don’t really know much about her connection with Ruby. For some Emmerdale audience members, they can’t help but wonder if they are hiding another secret because, let’s be honest, it’s quite a stretch the two of them are just friends.

Taking to social media, one fan wrote on X: ‘I’m 110% convinced that Ruby and Rose are sisters and it will be the beginning of Ruby’s past unravelling.’ So I think Ruby and Rose are sisters @emmerdale – Caleb has said a few times how Runy walked away from her family. Ruby’s cleared Rose’s debts so a family link seems right #emmerdale #britishsoaps — MrsCC (@MrsCC_261) June 5, 2024 Echoing this, another said: ‘Half siblings maybe?’. To further add to this theory, Emmerdale producer Sophie Roper recently revealed we’ll soon learn more about Ruby’s past. ‘We’ve got Caleb and Ruby, who’ve landed in the village and had a real impact but we don’t know much about them,’ she began, as she gave us the run down of what to expect from the eponymous village during her tenure. ‘There’s lots in terms of their history, particularly Ruby’s, that is yet unknown. We’re going to see a bit of a blast from their past come back and really give us more about this complicated relationship between husband and wife and the complicated family dynamics we have there. ‘So lots to stay tuned for in terms of Caleb and Ruby and their wider story.’
