With Robert Sugden returning to Emmerdale and being released from prison, fans have now expressed major concerns.
Robert returned to the village last month in a bid to stop Aaron marrying John (and we all wished he’d succeeded).
But, now he’s banged up again. Not for long though, thank goodness.

Robert Sugden made an unwelcome return to the village last month (well, unwelcome for the Emmerdale villagers but a very much welcome returned for viewers at home).
He interrupted Aaron and John’s wedding and begged Aaron not to ‘make the biggest mistake of his life.’
But, he wasn’t expecting to be punched in the face by his former husband.
While Aaron did kiss him better, he ultimately chose to continue with the wedding and marry John. Wrong choice, Aaron, wrong choice.
And with that, Robert sat at the bus stop contemplating his life choices before PC Swirling turned up to arrest him for missing his probation meeting.
Breaching the conditions of his prison release, Robert was then sent back behind bars…
Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ real reason for Robert prison release
With Robert being initially released from prison unexpectedly, fans are now worried as to the reason why. They’ve now predicted that Robert’s actually ill and is hiding a huge health secret from his loved ones.
One fan wrote: “I kept noticing how they focused on his face. I have a theory that his early release could have been the unsafe conviction plus compassionate release for illness.”
Another agreed: “Was it discussed why he was released early? Because his health being bad could be a reason why?”
A third person suggested: “I thought I was the only person to notice after the punch something seemed off. I feel this big secret is a health issue.”
But, when Robert is released from prison once again next week, will he open up more on why he’s now a free man?
