Emmerdale fans will have to cope without the villagers for a while – the soap is now off air for the next five days.
The show aired a tantalising cliffhanger last night as Robert Sugden was revealed to be in cahoots with Kim Tate, but there’ll be a wait to find out what happens next and how this affects the village.
As officially announced last month, Emmerdale will be absent from ITV1’s schedules when it needs to make way for UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 games.
Tonight from 7.15pm on ITV1, there’ll be live coverage of the Spain vs Portugal game, so there’s no room for Emmerdale‘s usual hour-long Thursday episode.
It’s a similar story tomorrow, with back-to-back games on ITV1 – Denmark vs Sweden from 4.15pm and Germany vs Poland from 7.15pm. Again, this leaves no place for Emmerdale in the schedules.
On Monday (7 July), ITV1 airs Spain vs Belgium from 4.15pm and Portugal vs Italy from 7.15pm, so Emmerdale remains off air.
The good news is that we can enjoy a visit to the Dales on Tuesday (8 July) at 7.30pm on ITV1, with the next episodes after that on Thursday (9 July) and Friday (10 July).
Next week’s episodes certainly aren’t short on drama despite the reduced screen time, as Joe Tate gets attacked (again) and comes face-to-face with another dangerous enemy.
Sarah Sugden and Gabby Thomas are rushed into hospital, Nate Robinson’s memorial draws closer, and Kim Tate braces herself to tell Dawn Fletcher that she’s started dating for the first time since Will’s death.
