EastEnders’ Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) made a disturbing and unexpected comeback on Monday, as he continues to haunt Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer).

Bianca had a harrowing hostage ordeal at the hands of Reiss, enduring months locked up in his storage unit after she uncovered the fact he had killed his comatose wife Debbie.

After she escaped and exposed his crimes, Reiss went on the run before returning to Walford for another showdown with Bianca.

Reiss’ subsequent attempts to flee resulted in him crashing his car into the Queen Vic, causing an explosion to rip through the pub.

While he survived the initial blast, he later perished when a bathtub fell on top of him just as fiancée Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) went into labour with their baby.

On Thursday, Bianca received news from the coroner that Reiss’ body had been prepared for release, prompting her to suffer a panic attack.

During the latest visit to Walford on Monday, Bianca’s torment continued after she heard people gossiping about her in the café.

Mo Harris (Laila Morse) outright accused her of causing Martin Fowler’s (James Bye) death by chasing Reiss and spooking him.

Back home, she then suffered another panic attack and screamed in terror when the front door started rattling and Reiss’ face appeared from behind it.

It turned out that Bianca was just seeing a vision of her captor, with George Knight (Colin Salmon) eventually emerging from behind the door.

After he managed to calm her down, Bianca opened up to best mate Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) about her trauma.

However, spoilers for the week’s episodes have revealed that things will get worse for Bianca before they start to get better.
