Coronation Street star Natalie Anderson has hinted that there are more dramatics to come between Danielle Silverton and the men in her life – husband Theo (James Cartwright) and the man he’s been having an affair with, Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce).
Last week’s episodes of the soap saw Danielle walk in to find Theo and Todd kissing.
Having been caught in the act, a drunken Theo told Todd that things were over between them, before joining Danielle outside in the car.
Theo and Danielle may be giving their marriage another chance, but their story is far from over – and actor Natalie has teased that there’s ‘more drama’ in store for the trio.
Sharing a series of behind the scenes snaps to her Instagram account, former Emmerdale star Natalie hinted at Todd and Theo’s tumultuous future.
‘Stay tuned for more drama with these guys…..having the most fun with these two belters!’ she wrote.
In the pictures, she posed with co-stars James and Gareth, before finishing off with a snap of herself wearing a pair of Danielle’s signature skinny jeans and loafers.
Taking a dig at the character’s wardrobe, she joked: ‘Oh and I think Danielle might be kidding herself she’s princess Kate with her love for skinny jeans and a loafer. Not quite as composed tho is she?!😂
‘Let’s see what trouble’s next,’ she added.
Natalie joined the rival soap earlier this month – leaving Todd shocked when he learned that his new man was married to glamorous Danielle.
And it soon became clear that she had no idea about her husband’s extra-marital proclivities.
Initially excusing Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) of having an affair with Theo, Danielle was exposed to the truth after catching him getting all hot under the collar with Todd.
But are things really over for Todd and Theo?
Earlier this week, actor James revealed that Theo ‘100%’ believes that his relationship with Todd is worth fighting for.
The star explained: ‘I think it’s a very strong bond. It’s one of those times in life where it’s all in. I think it’s all in for him now, because his wife knows, his kids know. It’s Stalingrad. Those bridges are burned. So he’s moving forward.
‘They’re both sacrificing an enormous amount to make it work. Todd is taking all this baggage from this man. From Theo’s point of view, he’s lost his family, he’s getting mocked on the scaffolding site and all these different things.
‘So they’re all in, and they’re going to really have a good crack at making this work, on this journey to domestic bliss between the scaffolder and the undertaker.’
Meanwhile, upcoming scenes will explain exactly why Theo has struggled to open up about his sexuality, coming clean to Todd and Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank).
‘He’s from a devoutly religious background, and that’s what’s made him keep it in,’ James revealed. ‘And I think, for the first time, with Todd it’s more than sexual.
And as he opens up to Todd and Billy, Theo reveals how he’d been subject to conversion therapy growing up, at the behest of his parents.
‘I think things can be explained to you, but understanding them is a different thing. I think because his parents were privy to the conversion therapy, it’s a much bigger thing,’ James explained.
