EastEnders is full of secrets and lies as the aftermath of The Queen Vic explosion continues to rock Albert Square.
Zack Hudson (James Farrar) is not only coming to terms with the loss of his best mate Martin Fowler (James Bye), but he is still reeling after recently discovering that he is Barney’s (Lewis Bridgeman) biological father, not Teddy Mitchell’s (Roland Manookian).
Family man Zack is keen for the truth, but Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) appears hell-bent on ensuring her paternity secret is not exposed. Next week, she will attempt to flee Walford with her family, but she panics when Teddy refuses to go with them.

Later in the week, Kathy hosts an event at the café to encourage the men of Walford to open up and come to terms with Martin’s death. But it’s not long before Harvey and Kathy share a warm moment after she returns from visiting her estranged husband, Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley), in prison.
Harvey encourages Kathy to put her name forward to cater for Martin’s funeral. Still, his plan is soon squashed when Jean informs him that Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) has already found a replacement.

Meanwhile, there is more trouble for the Slaters as Kat (Jessie Wallace) is struggling to be around her teen son, Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall), after his recent outburst.

Alfie Moon (Shame Richie) manages to convince Kat to open up to their son, but she clarifies that she doesn’t trust him when she finds out he’s been left alone with the twins and races home.
In a bid to make it up to him, Kat gives her son a new game console, which he eagerly boots up so he can chat with his new mystery friend.
However, this concerns Kat further, and she attempts to read their messages. Alfie asks her to be direct with Tommy about it, so she does, and soon, he reveals everything.
When Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) discovers Tommy’s new pal, his mates soon taunt him in McKlunky’s. But what do they discover about Tommy’s friend?

Kathy and Bianca contemplate whether Sonia should attend Reiss’s funeral, and it seems she doesn’t want to know.
But when Reiss’ former mum-in-law, Brenda Collins (Nichola McAuliffe), arrives, there’s a touching moment as she and Sonia share a much-needed heart-to-heart.
Later in the week, Sonia is stunned when Bianca arranges a surprise baby shower for her at Harry’s Barn, but things soon turn sour after Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) makes an ill-judged remark.
