Killer Gary strikes again in Corrie as he grabs broken bottle in fight

Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton) believing he could get one over on Gary Windass (Mikey North) in Coronation Street was never going to work.

The character recently befriended Gary and persuaded him that buying the builder’s yard was a good idea, despite Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) saying it wasn’t.

Since then, Gary and Mick have been working together, but the troublemaker has also started bullying Maria’s son Liam (Charlie Wrenshall).

Mick has recognised that Liam is a vulnerable soul and has started taking advantage of that.

He has subjected Liam to nasty pranks while at the builder’s yard but because Liam is so desperate to fit in, he’s been trying to laugh along and give the impression he’s been having a good time.

In upcoming episodes, Liam gets his revenge by lacing Mick’s tea with salt.

Unfortunately though, an angry Mick makes Liam pay by doing something much worse. He traps Liam in the tool shed, locks the door and leaves, and all Liam can do is cry out for help.

In the week, Mick instructs Liam to get some bacon sarnies but he fails to come back. He’s retreated to the café and doesn’t want to leave, but thankfully Gary and Maria find him and ask what’s wrong.

Liam tells his parents about Mick locking him in the shed and they are fuming.

Gary marches over to the yard and finds Mick looking for something in the shed. He shoves him inside and locks the door, giving him a taste of his own medicine.

After firing Mick, Gary is cornered by him later that day. Mick punches Gary and as a fight ensues, Gary grabs an empty bottle and prepares to attack him.

Fortunately, Kit (Jacob Roberts) steps between them and orders Gary to stop, but will he listen?
