Next week’s episodes of EastEnders are set to be fraught with tension for Nicola Mitchell (played by Laura Doddington) as she grapples with her dark secret.
The BBC soap previously unveiled that Nicola was behind the murder of Shireen, the former girlfriend of her eldest son Harry (portrayed by Elijah Holloway), who had been missing for four years.
Viewers saw Nicola discover that her violent gang had concealed Shireen’s body by burying it in a deserted warehouse in Dartford, Kent, a location once familiar to the extended Mitchell clan.
After reconciling with Nicola, Teddy planned to embark on a business venture with Junior Knight (Micah Balfour) in Dartford.
However, Nicola attempted to dissuade him, worried that her secret might come to light.
In the upcoming episodes, Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) confronts Nicola, demanding clarity about the circumstances of Shireen’s death four years prior, reports Plymouth Live.
When Teddy insists that their son Harry should know the truth about his ex-girlfriend, Nicola argues that it would send him spiralling out of control.
Teddy is reluctantly compelled to remain silent, but their younger son Barney (Lewis Bridgeman) senses something amiss between his parents, inadvertently giving his mother Nicola some food for thought.
Later in the week, Teddy confronts Nicola and instructs her to halt whatever she’s planning, as he has another strategy in mind.
Work at the site is temporarily halted by Teddy, and he and Nicola strike a deal with gangster Benji, who is aware of Shireen’s demise.
Nicola makes the decision to sell Harry’s Barn in order to pay off Benji, but Teddy proposes an alternative solution.
However, she is left dumbfounded by Teddy’s actions, leading them into a complex predicament.
The situation escalates when Nicola is unexpectedly confronted by an intruder while at Harry’s Barn alone.
In this setting, Nicola is forced to confront some harsh realities. But has someone discovered her role in Shireen’s death?
Is Nicola’s life at risk? EastEnders fans will have to stay tuned to find out.
