Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) makes with a deal with the
devil himself – Nish Panesar (Navin Chowhdry) – in upcoming EastEnders scenes.
It’s sparked when her son Nugget Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) suffers a
devastating collapse from a steroid overdose. As viewers of the BBC One soap know, Nugget’s pal Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) has become hooked on performance enhancing drugs, and later offered his best mate some ahead of a boxing tournament at the gym.
In upcoming scenes, as the sparring is about the begin, Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) pokes fun at Nugget, causing him to lash out and the lads have to be separated by Zack Hudson (James Farrar) and Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara).
Denzel panics that the adults will soon click onto their steroid use and warns him to calm down.
With Zack already suspicious of their behaviour, he places a fake drugs testing sign up and the lads freak out, unaware of its authenticity.
Elsewhere, Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) warns Priya against using Suki Panesar’s (Balvinder Sopal) credit card without asking permission, concerned it will jeopardise the family’s living situation.
Worried that she could be onto something, she speaks with Nish and makes him an offer to secure their future…
With Nugget concerned by Denzel’s absence, he goes looking for him but suddenly falls ill and heads to No. 41. With Priya and Nish finalising their ‘deal’ inside, neither of them are aware that he’s fallen to the ground.
Avani then bursts in on them both to inform them of her brother’s condition, and the whole Gulati-Panesar clan gather at the hospital.
In the waiting room, the doctor informs them that his kidneys are failing and ask if he’s been taking drugs – which they deny.
After a heated conversation between Ravi and Priya over parenting failures, he pulls Dr. Miller to one side and mentions Zack’s worries about the steroid abuse and after some tests, it proves true.
As the clan reel from the news that Nugget may need long-term dialysis, Nish pulls Priya to one side and reminds her of their agreement.
What do they have planned?
