The square continues to feel the repercussions after the arrival of Billy’s new family
PHIL Mitchell is set to be at the centre of a devastating new storyline in EastEnders.
The famous family of Albert Square are once again in the spotlight after Billy’s half
brother Teddy (Roland Manookian) appears on the square. But tensions between the different sections of the Mitchell family on EastEnders are set to reach a fever pitch. Billy (Perry Fenwick) decides that he wants to throw a surprise party for Stevie in The Vic. Over at the café, Teddy meets Stevie (Alan Ford) to give him a card and warns him to stop lying about his relationship with Teddy’s mum being just a fling. Phil (Steve McFadden) just so happens to overhear their conversation as they continue to keep a secret from Billy. He then instructs the trusted family lawyer Richie to do some digging and she’s set to find some surprising results. Back at the infamous boozer, Stevie is delighted by Billy and Will’s efforts.
But Billy cannot help but make a gushing speech about his dad and he pays tribute to his mum, wherever she may be. Phil arrives at the party and he pulls Stevie to one side as he exposes the evidence that Richie finds. Not being able to keep the secret anymore, Stevie gets Billy and his half-brother over to number 18, where he will tell Billy that his mum sadly died. After hearing this news, Billy becomes a broken man, and he confides in Phil, who tells him to wise up to who Stevie really is. Later, Teddy will implore Billy to not let the family revelations rob them of their potential relationship.
Billy talks to Will who misunderstands what he’s saying and reveals that Phil framed Stevie. As such, Bill will be left utterly enraged at Phil, as he accuses him of trying to wreck the potential relationships with the new members of his family. After all of this, Stevie will try and make Billy and Teddy see sense, as he will apologise profusely for everything he’s done. This is before he sets plans in place to leave Walford and not return, but he gets into trouble before this. He asks Mo to do him a favour after he engages in a heated confrontation with Phil. The iconic Mitchell brother soon becomes absolutely furious as he discovers that his car is missing, and in an unlikely move, he then decides to call the police.
Phil is left utterly consumed by his anger, where he will continue to drive a wedge between himself and his nearest and now not so dearest. Meanwhile, Billy and Teddy become even closer as they set out to arrange a family dinner at Walford East. They choose not to invite Phil, until Jay (Jamie Borthwick) asks him to join the group. As phil takes his seat by the table, Teddy will try to smooth things over as best as possible as tensions rise between the family. However, the meal remains tense and Phil just cannot help himself but lash out and say nasty words about Stevie. This is before Harry riles him up about the missing car, which leaves Phil more isolated than ever. Will Phil make up with the rest of the Mitchell clan?
