Things are reaching boiling point in the Dales as secrets and lies continue to grow

Tensions start to brew in the Dales(Image: ITV)
There’s never a quiet week to be had in Emmerdale, whether there’s a kidney thief on the prowl, an unexpected return or a hidden death, the ITV soap is filled with all the drama.
In recent weeks, viewers have watched as Joe Tate survived being pushed from the window at Home Farm by Dawn Fletcher, and now he’s trying to navigate family life while being public enemy number one.
John Sugden and Aaron Dingle’s wedding was almost in jeopardy as Robert Sugden had his prison sentence appealed and showed up to stop the ceremony.
While Robert and Aaron shared a kiss, the latter still went ahead with the wedding – but is this the end of “Robron”?
Here’s what’s coming next in the Dales:

John is questioned by the police…
Viewers are well versed now on just how far John will go to protect his image from being tarnished by his actions. Desperate to be known as a hero, John has put multiple lives at risk just to “save” them.
As we know, however, this doesn’t always work. His ex-fiancé Aidan Moore is currently in a coma due to his actions, and Nate Robinson was killed and dumped in the lake.
Speaking of Nate, as his body is found villagers start pointing fingers at each other, and John finds himself bought into questioning by the police.
When the interview is over, John hopes he’s said enough to protect Cain. When Tracy walks by, Sam can’t help himself and berates Tracy for her accusations.
Rattled, Cain finally voices his suspicions that Tracy is responsible for Nate’s death. Venting after Cain’s accusation, Tracy tries to defend herself. John tries to comfort Cain reassuring him the police will find something else to focus on soon, John formulates a plan.

Cain Dingle faces backlash from Tracy…
Cain fell out with his son Nate the day of his disappearance, and the pair ended up in a brutal fight. Now, Tracy is convinced that Cain went too far and had to dump his body.
The next day, the police arrive at Tug Ghyll with a search warrant. Tracy remains adamant that it’s pointless, but is gobsmacked when the police reveal Nate’s phone was found in Frankie’s playhouse. Tracy can barely control her fear as the officers lead her out to question her at the station.
She’s baffled when it’s revealed there’s no record of the removal man who supposedly took Nate’s stuff to Shetland. Returning from the police station, Tracy spots Cain and wastes no time in making it clear she still suspects him of Nate’s murder. Battle lines are drawn.

Tracy asks Vanessa to give her an alibi(Image: ITV)
Tracy lies to the police…
Panicking that she looks guilty, particularly after she didn’t want to tell anyone that Nate’s child support payments had stopped arriving, Tracy turns desperate.
As the police reveal they believe Nate was killed on the day he was supposed to leave for Shetland and Tracy tells them she was at Vanessa’s for that entire day. Meeting Vanessa at the cafe, Tracy leaves her sister troubled when she asks her to corroborate her false alibi.
When DS Walsh visits the Vets surgery later to find Vanessa, she is left a deer in the officers headlights when she’s asked to corroborate Tracy’s alibi in an official statement. Will Vanessa corroborate Tracy’s alibi?

Bear leaves Eve unattended around a pill box(Image: ITV)
Bear leaves Eve in danger…
Viewers have witnessed Bear starting to struggle lately, particularly with his angry outbursts. Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw confirmed a big storyline for Bear later this year, but has not confirmed what this entails.
Mandy and Paddy persuade Bear to go and see Liam about his insomnia. When Bear returns and promises Eve some sweets if she stays quiet, she agrees and he heads out.
Quickly bored, Eve heads to the kitchen and gets Bear’s pill box of sleeping tablets. When Mandy and Paddy wake up from an accidental nap, they’re terrified to see Eve’s been in Bear’s pill box.

Kammy tries to help Vinny, but ends up making a bad decision(Image: ITV)
Kammy makes a bad decision…
Since Kammy arrived in the village he’s been no stranger to trouble, particularly during his love triangle with Jacob Gallagher and Sarah Sugden.
Vinny is horrified to realise he’s forgotten all about the anniversary of his and Gabby’s first kiss. Vinny enlists Kammy’s help for a plan to win Gabby back over. Sneaking into Home Farm, Kammy is gobsmacked by the luxury of it all, especially Clemmie’s new phone, but Vinny encourages him to keep his eye on what they came for.
Arriving at the Scrapyard later on, Gabby is delighted to see the romantic scene Vinny and Kammy have laid out, and Vinny’s chuffed to see his plan coming together. Head over heels for each other as their romantic evening continues.
Meanwhile, outside the Hop, Kammy’s on a call, organising to sell Clemmie’s phone which he stole from Home Farm.

Ruby ends up on the receiving end of Tracy’s anger(Image: ITV)
Elsewhere in the village…
Jacob finds out Sarah hasn’t told Charity about the cancer and is furious. Kerry throws Pollard a surprise birthday party but is aghast to hear he’s planning to sell the barn.
Things get heated between Tracy and Ruby and Tracy slaps Ruby and everyone rushes in to break up the fight. Joe is quick to suggest Billy might be responsible for Clemmie’s missing phone.
